Married at First Sight Australia star Ines Basic has claimed she attempted suicide after producers covered up Bronson Norrish’s demand for an open relationship.
Speaking in her first UK interview, the viral TV star, 30, claimed Bronson’s pleas for the couple to share ‘multiple partners’ was not aired and she was unfairly portrayed as a villain when she ‘cheated’ on the stripper with co-star Sam Ball, 28.
And after attempting suicide during the show’s run, those painful memories are flooding back now she’s being trolled by Brits as the 2019 series is aired on E4 and has developed a cult following.

Ines explained: ‘I attempted suicide during filming so I got PTSD from it. It really f***ed me up and I had to keep filming and I was like oh my God.
‘My friend passed away, my dad left my mum and I had the whole situation with Sam, I really liked this guy and thought we were moving in together and I didn’t hear from him.
‘I lost a lot of weight, got PTSD and I was under their care in therapy. I lost all my body weight. I had to be carried from scene to scene I was so weak.’
And she admits her mental health has taken another hit after Brit viewers, who are unfamiliar with the hidden truth behind her doomed relationship, have been trolling her now the show is airing in the UK.

To make matters worse, she believes Brits are far crueller in their online bullying than Aussie fans.
She said: ‘There are a lot of people that really like me but there are a lot that get really threatening.
‘It’s not like hate, it is literally really threatening. It is worse than the Australia backlash. It’s really savage.
‘I’ve had some really bad ones like “I’ll torture your mum” and “if you come here we’ll kill you” – I didn’t have that in Australia.
‘The first two weeks there were 1000s and 1000s of DMs. It was next level.’
Her attempted suicide has obvious links to British dating series Love Island, in which two former contestants took their own lives in the aftermath of the show.

Bosnian-born Ines who’s a former legal assistant, believes producers have a responsibility to accurately portray contestants on reality shows in order to protect the mental health and wellbeing of those taking part.
She said: ‘I look so remorseless and like I don’t care. But Bronson was into open relationships… They just didn’t air that part. I was like that’s such a crucial part to miss out.
‘He was into open relationships and sharing women. I was so angry for so long because it was such a huge part to not air. I felt silenced. I really got the s*** cut.
‘I was like f*** who did the edit on this? You went too hard.
‘I have to cop it so much, even to this day the most questions are “why didn’t you like him?” and I can’t be bothered explaining it anymore.
‘I said from the start, which they didn’t air and it really annoyed me, I am going to stay true to myself and if my partner isn’t the one for me I am willing too seek another…’

Ines confirmed the former married have not remained in touch since they finished filming in 2018 – and she still stands by her treatment towards him.
She said: ‘Bronson never spoke to me again. He blocked me, I have never heard from him to this day.
‘He had a big bust to the ego. He was saying he was into open relationships and sharing women and he found that beautiful but when it happened to him on national TV his ego took a real big bruise.
‘Could I have been more open minded and tolerated him? Yes but he didn’t talk much, he didn’t say much, he wasn’t comfortable with the cameras. He said seriously three words the entire time.’
Ines, who’s now in a happy relationship, doesn’t regret taking part in the show and says she did enjoy some aspects of filming.
She said: ‘I was a normal girl I didn’t think I’d be that talked about – I wasn’t going after fame or anything like that.
‘A lot of people go there and they play it real cool just to get famous but I didn’t have that intent at all.
‘I said to my producer ‘why does the cast hate me?’ and he said ‘because you attract the camera naturally whereas they really have to try and they will monitor where the cameras are.
‘I want to say there is a lot I could have done differently in terms of how I spoke but then I’m like had I done that would it make the same impact? I don’t think so.’
